Author Alwyn Turner discusses his new, authoritative biography on Terry Nation, the writer behind Britain’s most popular and successful villains - the Daleks. One of the most successful and prolific writers for television that Britain ever produced, Nation was adept at comedy (writing for Spike Milligan, Frankie Howerd and Tony Hancock), an extraordinary sci-fi writer (Doctor Who, Blake Seven, and the haunting Survivors) and, as one of the key figures behind the adventure series of the Sixties – including The Avengers, The Saint and The Persuaders! – he turned the pulp classics of his boyhood into a major British export. Tickets will be available on the door.

PLEASE NOTE: The Venue for this event has changed.  The talk will now be at Morley Town Hall.
