Stanley Accrington has been writing and performing songs for over 30 years. He writes on current news, ancient history, nuclear physics, cake .... in fact anything that takes his fancy.
Whilst Stanley is known for his silly songs, parodies and pastiches, he also writes serious songs, and has recently co-written a "musical history" of the Pendle Witches for BBC Radio Lancashire. He has performed at venues all over UK and sometimes beyond - and for the last 30 years has appeared at the Whitby Folk Week as well as at dozens of other Festivals. Now it's Morley's turn so expect ....anything.
He's joined by local duo Morley Folk, namely Keith Brown and Alan Street, who play a mix of contemporary and more traditional repertoire, and are the resident duo at the successful Morley Folk Club. The line-up also features local poets Jim Saville and David Lindsay
The ticket price for this event includes a pie and pea supper.
