One day Welsh journalist, author and documentary maker Jon Ronson (The Man Who Stare At Goats) was contacted by a leading neurologist, who had recently received a puzzling book in the mail. Challenged to solve the mystery behind it, he finds himself on a compelling adventure into the world of madness. His stories range from the Broadmoor inmate who faked a mental disorder to get a lighter sentence but is now stuck there, to the psychologist who developed the industry-standard Psychopath Test and is convinced that many important CEOs and politicians are in fact psychopaths. Ronson as investigative humorist looks at where true madness lies, and what passes for ‘normal’.
