Now in its sixth year, Morley Literature Festival in Leeds is an annual week-long festival in October celebrating books, reading and writing. We pride ourselves on our broad-ranging programme that includes author events, workshops, comedy, music and family shows.
Previous guests have included Will Self, Iain Banks, Kate Adie, Stuart Maconie, Wendy Cope, Derek Landy, John Hegley, Barbara Taylor Bradford and John Shuttleworth.
Gervase Phinn is the Patron of the Festival.
Morley is just south of the city of Leeds in West Yorkshire. A market town with a strong local identity, Morley has been a settlement for over a thousand years and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It became a borough in 1886 and a district of Leeds in 1974.
